Sharon Papo (she/her) is a fundraiser, executive coach, and trainer who excels at bringing people together to innovate. A big-picture, systems-level thinker, she has a demonstrated ability to organize people, build strong teams, and align resources to advance a strategic vision - and execute on it. Over the course of her career, Sharon has helped local nonprofits collectively raise well over $100 million.
Previously, Sharon spent 12 years as an executive director, leading The Diversity Center of Santa Cruz County and 3rd Street Youth Center and Clinic in San Francisco. Her impact was recognized by the City of Santa Cruz, which declared January 12 "Sharon Papo Day" in honor of her local leadership.
Sharon is also an Amazon bestselling co-author of Success Redefined, alongside Jack Canfield (author of Chicken Soup for the Soul), and co-founder of LGBTQ eLearning, which provides training to help organizations build LGBTQ+ inclusive workplace cultures.
Education
Sharon holds a Master's degree from UC Berkeley's School of Social Welfare and a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), holds a Diversity and Inclusion certificate from Cornell University, and studied coaching at the Coaches Training Institute.
Sharon serves on the Board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Silicon Valley chapter, and coordinates both the Santa Cruz County Development Forum and the Executive Director Roundtable.
